Doe Lea Local Nature Reserve (LNR) is a hidden gem, tucked away below the A617 at Bramley Vale.

Barbecues are not permitted at any of our sites.

The mix of woodland, scrub and reed bed make this a great place for watching wildlife, especially birds.

There's a screened viewing platform that looks over the small reed bed where reed warblers, sedge warblers and reed bunting breed and nest.

The surfaced path through the reserve runs alongside the River Doe Lea and joins the Stockley Trail at Rylah Hill.

Directions

You can walk onto the reserve from the A617 or from the minor road from Junction 29 to Stockley and Rylah Hill.

Unfortunately no car parking is available at this site.
