What this consultation is about

NHS health checks for adults can help to identify potential health issues early on and prevent them from developing into big problems. Those aged between 40 and 74 may be eligible for a free NHS Health Check. The NHS Health Check aims to reduce a person’s chance of developing 5 different conditions (type 2 diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, stroke, dementia).

The aim of this brief questionnaire is to find out more information about views on NHS Health Checks, and to learn about how health checks can be better advertised. The aim is to help more people that may benefit most from an NHS Health Check to have the best opportunity to get one.
