We run courses across Derbyshire in our adult community education (ACE) centres, and we also deliver learning from around 100 community venues across Derbyshire.

Alfreton

Bolsover ACE Centre

We have a car park with 21 spaces.

The centre is next to Bolsover Castle, close to Bolsover town centre where there are free car parks and easy access to buses. Several bus routes go through Bolsover town, with a bus stop near the centre and several more in the marketplace.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30am to 4.30pm
  • Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm

Buxton Fairfield ACE Centre

We have a free car park with 14 spaces.

The centre is in Fairfield, a short bus journey from Buxton town centre. High Peak bus number 185 stops outside the centre.

Chesterfield

Chesterfield Adult Education Centre is located inside a shared building with other services. We have access to shared visitor car parking to the left of the building which is limited.

There are 15 free parking spaces for up to 2 hours at Queen Street which is close by. A bit further away is Beal Bank where there are 70 free car parking spaces. There are buses to Dock Walk and Boythorpe Road with bus stops nearby.

Clay Cross ACE Centre

We have a small, free car park. Please tell reception if you are parked in our car park. There are 2 car parking spaces near the front door for Blue Badge holders.

The centre is close to Clay Cross town centre, where there are car parks and easy access to buses. There are regular buses that stop near the centre.

Cotmanhay and Ilkeston ACE Centre

The Cotmanhay centre, is a short bus journey from Ilkeston town centre. There is a bus stop outside the building.

We have a free car park with 24 spaces, there are parking spaces near the door for Blue Badge holders.

  • selected Thursdays from 8.30am to 7pm
  • Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm

Glossop ACE Centre

We have a free car park for 27 vehicles which is shared with the library at the front and back of the centre with 3 parking spaces for Blue Badge holders.

The train station and bus stop are close to the centre. For the nearest bus stop use Henry Street stop A for the 341, 237, or 219. Stop B for the 61, 237, 257c, 390, 393 or 394. Stop C for 351 or 237.

There is also easy access from Glossop train station which is served by Northern Rail. Trains are normally every 30 minutes throughout the day.

The centre is on an industrial estate in Holmewood with plenty of parking, around 6 miles from Chesterfield.
